DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 29 Days of Love – Day 24 “Release to Love”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 29 Days of Love – Day 24 “Release to Love”

Meditative Thought: We must release our agenda to understand the true meaning of love.  When we have an attachment to an outcome, there is no room for the Universe to move.  Unforgiveness is an attachment to someone.  When we choose not to forgive, we chose to hold on to an energy that slowly poisons the mind, body, and spirit.  To fully love we must forgive.  We must let go of judgment so that we may free ourselves.  Unforgiveness is like being chained to a rock that is slowly sinking to the bottom of the ocean.  Today, break the bondage of unforgiveness and Love again.

Your Spiritual Assignment: Are you choosing not to forgive anyone?  Do you hold on to resentments that eat away at your soul?  You can only release your resentments by forgiveness.  We can only forgive by realizing our part in the resentment.  Today, write a list of all your resentments and examine them.  Next to each resentment write down the part you played in the situation. After the inventory is done, read it to a friend you trust, and then forgive and release your resentments.  Holding on to resentments is like jumping off a bridge and hoping the other person will die.  It gets us nowhere.

Affirmations:Just for today, just for this moment, just for this breath, I am loved because God lives in me.  I love myself because I am God’s perfect expression.  I am joy because I share God’s joy with others.  I am forgiven because I forgive myself and everyone else.  And I let it be.  Amen.
